Côte d'Ivoire PDCI Disavows REM‑PDCI‑RDA Network

On 14 July 2026 the Democratic Party of Côte d’Ivoire (PDCI‑RDA) publicly clarified that the recently launched Réseau d’entraide militant du PDCI‑RDA (REM‑PDCI‑RDA) holds no official status within the party. Party executive secretary Mathias Lessiehi stated that the movement was never submitted for approval, received no authorization, and therefore cannot represent the PDCI‑RDA or speak on its behalf. The party denounced the REM‑PDCI‑RDA’s statements calling for the party president’s resignation and a convening of a political bureau and congress as private actions of its founders. The PDCI‑RDA invited the REM‑PDCI‑RDA leaders to a clarification meeting, which they declined, prompting concerns about internal cohesion ahead of upcoming elections.
