CTET 2026: Revised exam schedule expected following reopened registration
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to announce a revised examination schedule for the 22nd edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2026. This follows a decision to reopen the application portal from August 25 to September 1, 2026, to allow eligible candidates who missed the initial registration window to apply.
The decision to provide an additional registration opportunity was made in response to directions from the Supreme Court, which emphasized the necessity of providing eligible teachers a reasonable opportunity to meet statutory qualification requirements.
Following the closure of the registration period, candidates are awaiting updates regarding the new exam dates, admit cards, and city slips. Additionally, an application correction window will be provided, allowing applicants to rectify errors in personal details or academic qualifications via the official CTET website to avoid potential disqualification.
