Cuba and Vietnam exchange legal and justice expertise

A Cuban delegation, led by Olga Lidia Pérez Díaz, Director General of Notaries and Public Registries of the Ministry of Justice, and Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Rogelio Polanco, met in Vietnam to discuss a cooperation project between the justice ministries of both nations.

The primary objective of the exchange is for Cuba to acquire Vietnamese expertise to support its ongoing economic and social transformations. Pérez Díaz emphasized the Ministry of Justice's role in ensuring compliance with approved changes, maintaining a balance between public and private sectors, and managing the transition toward decentralized, self-managed state enterprises.

The delegation also includes representatives from the provinces of Las Tunas and Pinar del Río, who have recently completed the digitalization of registry records. Ambassador Polanco noted that Vietnam's willingness to share experiences will strengthen Cuba's capacity for law drafting and application.
