Cuba solidarity protests erupt globally against U.S. blockade

Protests and solidarity movements are intensifying globally to denounce the United States' economic and energy blockade against Cuba. Activists and organizations are highlighting the severe humanitarian impact of these sanctions, which have restricted access to essential services including healthcare, education, and fuel.

In Bilbao, Spain, thousands marched to protest the blockade and support the Cuban people, coinciding with a concert by singer Silvio Rodríguez. The demonstration also promoted a campaign to fund solar energy installations for Cuban hospitals. In France, a rally at the L’Humanité festival featured speakers from the Communist Party of Cuba, who emphasized the difficulty of maintaining daily life and the necessity of international solidarity.

In Germany, activists organized a vigil at the U.S. Embassy in Berlin to protest the energy blockade. Meanwhile, in Argentina, the Argentine Movement of Solidarity with Cuba continues to hold various activities, including musical events and fundraising efforts for solar panels to assist electricity-dependent patients in Cuba.
