Cuba donates historical Fidel Castro archives to Vietnam
To commemorate the 100th anniversary of Fidel Castro's birth, the Cuban Embassy in Vietnam has donated two sets of documentary films and photographs to the Ho Chi Minh Presidential Palace Relic Site. The collection features rare images of the Cuban leader's revolutionary activities, including his time leading guerrilla warfare in the Sierra Maestra mountains in 1958 and his work with the people in Camagüey in 1965.
The donated materials also highlight Castro's historical connection to Vietnam, including photographic records of his three official visits to the country in 1973, 1995, and 2003. These archives are currently being displayed to visitors, showcasing his personal qualities and the enduring diplomatic bond between Cuba and Vietnam established by leaders Fidel Castro and Ho Chi Minh.
