Cuba receives solidarity aid and protests in Spain

In El Bierzo, Spain, a charitable "tardeo" on Saturday, 18 July, raised funds to send food parcels to vulnerable families in Havana's Centro Habana. The event, organized by the associations Mirando Hacia el Futuro and Bierzo Vivo, charged a five‑euro entry fee and featured Cuban music, fusion cuisine prepared by local culinary students, and a photographic exhibition of Cuba.

Two days later, on Friday, 24 July, a demonstration in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria gathered participants to denounce the United States' long‑standing economic, commercial and financial blockade of Cuba. The march, organized by the Red de Solidaridad Canario Cubana together with social, union and political groups, began at Parque San Telmo and ended at Plaza de la Feria, calling for an end to sanctions that have intensified in recent months.
