Cuban Communist Party hosts foreign solidarity delegations in August 2026

A delegation from the Italian group Rete dei Comunisti will travel to Cuba in the first two weeks of August 2026 after an invitation from the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba. The visit aims to strengthen long‑standing ties, participate in celebrations for the centenary of Fidel Castro’s birth, and present at the International Fidel Castro 2026 colloquium scheduled for 10‑13 August at Havana’s Convention Center.

Separately, a member of the Dominican Campaign of Solidarity with Cuba announced a 14‑day stay on the island, pledging personal commitment to the Cuban people and denouncing the U.S. embargo. Both delegations frame their trips as acts of political solidarity against the blockade and as support for Cuba’s socialist transition.
