Cuban Solidarity Campaign Expands Across Europe and Latin America

Activists and media outlets coordinated a large‑scale effort to rally international support for Cuba amid intensified U.S. sanctions. More than 50 media organizations from over a dozen Latin American countries participated in a simultaneous broadcast named “Cadenazo por Cuba,” airing at 8 p.m. Cuban time and featuring interviews and commentary on the island’s energy blockade and broader sovereignty concerns.

In parallel, Italian activists launched the “Let Cuba Breathe” tour, staging public actions in European capitals—Turin, Brussels, Paris, Berlin—and planning a stop in Warsaw. The campaign seeks to highlight the impact of U.S. restrictions on Cuban citizens and to urge European governments to speak out against the sanctions, framing the effort as a defense of Cuban self‑determination and a response to what they describe as a renewed “psychological war.”
