Cuban solidarity groups rally in Spain, Latin America against US blockade

In Bilbao, Spain, Fernando González Llort, president of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), led a delegation that met with Basque political parties, unions and civil‑society groups. The talks highlighted renewed cooperation and solidarity with Cuba in response to the United States' economic, commercial and financial blockade, and featured speeches denouncing the sanctions as acts of aggression.

Separately, the Network of Cubans Resident in Latin America and the Caribbean publicly backed Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez’s remarks at the United Nations General Assembly. The network condemned the U.S. embargo as a "war‑like, genocidal" policy that harms Cuban families, and pledged to continue denouncing the measures and mobilising support throughout the region.
