Cuba's National Assembly to evaluate economic and social reforms

The Cuban National Assembly of People's Power (ANPP) will open its seventh ordinary period of sessions on 29 July at the Palacio de Convenciones in Havana. Delegates will assess the implementation of the country's ongoing economic and social transformation agenda.

The agenda includes an update on the execution of the 2026 state budget, presentation of the 2025 financial liquidation, and discussion of draft laws covering agricultural and forest land, housing, central state administration, the personal identity and domicile system, and a new Labor Code. The session is chaired by ANPP President Esteban Lazo, who said the process reflects collective debate and the socialist democratic character of the island.
