Cubatão highway truck fire destroys vehicle cabin

A large fire destroyed the cabin of an articulated truck on the Cônego Domênico Rangoni Highway in Cubatão on Monday morning. The incident occurred around 10:00 AM at kilometer 256 on the express lane heading toward Guarujá.

The vehicle was pulling a semi-trailer with an empty container when flames suddenly emerged from the front cabin. The driver managed to pull the vehicle onto the shoulder and exit safely before the fire spread completely, resulting in no injuries.

Emergency teams from the Cubatão Fire Department and Ecovias, the concessionaire managing the Anchieta-Imigrantes System, responded to the scene. They used a water truck to combat the flames and prevent the fire from spreading to nearby vegetation or other vehicles. The incident required the temporary closure of lanes two and three to manage the fire and perform cooling operations.
