Cuenca announces recruitment for 36 firefighter positions

The Diputación de Cuenca has opened a ten-day application period for 36 mechanical firefighter driver positions within the Fire Prevention and Extinction, Civil Protection, and Emergency Service (SPEIN).

This recruitment is part of the provincial institution's expansion of its 2026 Public Employment Offer. The new personnel will be used to reinforce existing teams at the Tarancón and Motilla del Palancar stations, while also supporting the establishment of new stations in Cañete and Priego.

Abel Fresneda, the Deputy of Personnel, stated that the initiative aims to provide better emergency response capabilities across the extensive and geographically dispersed province. The positions are classified under Group C2 within the Special Administration scale.
