Cuernavaca shooting leaves one person injured

A man was injured in his hand following a shooting in the Domingo Diez area of Cuernavaca, specifically near the El Empleado neighborhood. The incident occurred around 3:00 PM on Thursday at the intersection of Belisario Domínguez Street, outside a commercial establishment known as ‘Tacos Don Paco’.

Witnesses reported that two individuals on a motorcycle stopped in front of the business and opened fire without provocation. The attackers fled north immediately after the assault. A customer nearby was struck in the right hand by a projectile; the victim sought medical attention at a private hospital and is reported to be out of danger after undergoing surgery.

Local police cordoned off the area, and forensic experts from the State Attorney General's Office (FGE) recovered three spent shell casings to assist in the ongoing investigation.
