Cuiabá City Hall plants 150 trees in Pedra 90 neighborhood

The Cuiabá City Hall has planted 150 tree seedlings on Avenida Sebastião Gomes Guimarães in the Pedra 90 neighborhood. This initiative is part of the ‘Verde em Ação’ (Green in Action) Project, which aims to expand urban forestry, mitigate heat, and improve the environmental quality of public spaces in the capital.

The planting was carried out by the municipal government through the Forest Nursery and the Cuiabá Company for Maintenance and Urban Services (Limpurb), in partnership with the Verde Novo Program and the Court of Accounts of the State of Mato Grosso (TCE-MT). With this latest action, the project has reached a total of 890 seedlings planted over the last four weeks.

Fábio Moura, Director of Environmental Planning, emphasized the importance of community involvement in preserving the new trees to ensure their survival and growth.
