Cuiabá urban reforestation initiatives

Overview

The Cuiabá City Hall is conducting urban reforestation efforts through the ‘Verde Ação’ (Green in Action) Project.

On October 10, the municipal government initiated the third stage of the project on Avenida Tatsumi Koga, planting approximately 400 seedlings. This operation involved the Municipal Secretariat of Planning and Urban Development, Limpurb, the Verde Novo Program, and the Court of Auditors.

By October 17, the initiative expanded to the Pedra 90 neighborhood, where 150 seedlings were planted on Avenida Sebastião Gomes Guimarães. This phase of the project, which aims to mitigate heat and improve environmental quality, has resulted in a total of 890 seedlings planted over a four-week period.
