Cuiabá to complete revitalization of eight sports courts

The Cuiabá City Hall expects to complete the revitalization of eight sports courts and at least two sand courts across various regions of the capital in the coming days. These projects are being managed by the Municipal Secretariat of Sport and Leisure.

Specific interventions include the Bela Vista neighborhood court, which has undergone upgrades to its fencing, walls, lighting, and goals, and is currently in the painting stage. In Parque da Família, work has progressed to the construction of boundary walls, with upcoming steps including land leveling and sand installation. Other areas receiving improvements include the Terra Nova neighborhood.

Mateus Barbosa, the Municipal Secretary of Sport and Leisure, stated that the work schedule is accelerating to provide diverse sports and social spaces. Following these completions, the city plans to resume works in Maracascalho and construct a new sand court in that neighborhood. The administration views these public equipment upgrades as a strategy to expand sports access and promote social inclusion.
