Cuiabá to Host Brazil's First Paralympic Seminar
The municipality of Cuiabá will hold Brazil’s inaugural Paralympic Seminar on 17‑18 July. Organized by the city’s Centro de Referência Paralímpico in technical cooperation with the Brazilian Paralympic Committee (CPB), the two‑day event offers 100 free seats for teachers, coaches and sport technicians. Participants will receive 12 hours of training that combines theoretical modules with practical workshops in athletics and swimming for athletes with disabilities.
Registration is open online and applicants must have previously completed CPB’s free distance course “Movimento Paralímpico: Fundamentos Básicos do Esporte.” The seminar’s faculty includes Altemir Trapp, Laís Gabriela Cavalcanti and Rodrigo Canfora. It follows the February opening of the Paralympic Reference Centre, which aims to expand inclusive sport programs and strengthen public‑policy support for people with disabilities throughout Mato Grosso.
