Culiacán authorities respond to heavy rains and wind damage

Heavy rains and strong winds in Culiacán, Sinaloa, have prompted emergency responses from local authorities. The Municipal Civil Protection Coordination conducted eight preventive tours to mitigate risks and address citizen reports.

Incidents reported include four fallen trees and one downed public lighting pole. Specific locations affected include the Pablo de Villavicencio neighborhood, the Cuauhtémoc neighborhood, and the Bachigualato neighborhood. Authorities have also issued recommendations regarding safety during the current cyclone and hurricane season.

Additionally, the Culiacán Cleaning and Sweeping Directorate removed over 1.5 tons of waste following Sunday's rainfall. Crews worked to clear 44 storm drains and 229 catch basins across the city's first, second, and third sectors to prevent infrastructure blockages and ensure proper water drainage.
