Culiacán faces vehicle crash and rain‑triggered sinkhole disrupting roads

A two‑vehicle collision on the Culiacán‑Navolato highway near Aguaruto on 27 July 2026 involved a white Jeep Grand Cherokee and a dark‑colored Ford Ranger. Heavy rains on the following morning caused a four‑metre‑long sinkhole to open on Avenida Federalismo in Culiacán after a storm‑driven stormwater collector failed.
