Sinaloa reports abduction of security officer and multiple violent crimes
A series of violent incidents has been reported across Sinaloa, Mexico. In Culiacán, armed men abducted María de los Ángeles Ruiz Salazar, a 35-year-old security officer for the Aguaruto Penitentiary Center, from her home in the Santa Rocío neighborhood. Authorities have activated the Alba Protocol to locate her.
Violence also struck the Barrancos sector of Culiacán, where a 58-year-old mechanic named Carlos was shot and killed by two individuals on a motorcycle in front of his residence. Additionally, a body shop in the Ampliación Pemex neighborhood was targeted by gunfire, resulting in one person being injured and hospitalized.
In Guasave, authorities arrested 35-year-old Emmanuel Iván “N” for the alleged aggravated feminicide of his 98-year-old grandmother, Bernardina “N”. The victim was reportedly attacked with a knife in the Estación Capomas community and later died in a hospital. Local reports suggest the suspect may suffer from mental health issues.
