Culinary training programs announced in Uruguay and Costa Rica

New culinary educational initiatives are being launched in Uruguay and Costa Rica. In Uruguay, Ana Lía García is introducing pastry workshops specifically designed for children aged 5 to 10. The program focuses on teaching simple techniques for making donuts, chocolate pops, and cake pops, with special themed activities planned for Halloween to encourage creativity and social interaction.

In Costa Rica, the Instituto Nacional de Aprendizaje (INA) has announced a free Traditional Baking program in La Fortuna. Scheduled to run from January 26 to October 5, 2027, the course is for adults over 18 and covers eight modules, including food manufacturing practices, labeling, and the production of various sweet and savory breads, pastries, and frozen products. Selection processes and technical interviews are expected to take place in November 2026.
