Cultural and literary events scheduled in Pitești and Bucharest

Various cultural and literary events are scheduled across Romania. In Pitești, the Centrul Cultural Pitești has announced a program for August 24–29, 2026. The schedule includes lectures on free will, literary meetings, book launches, and a poetic dialogue. The week will conclude with the 11th edition of the PITART International Plastic Creation Camp vernissage, featuring 17 artists from Romania and abroad.

In Bucharest, the ‘Grădina cu Cărți’ (Garden with Books) event will take place at Piațeta Favorit in Sector 6 from September 11–13. This community-focused initiative features up to 20 publishing and bookstore stands offering accessible book prices. The program includes public readings, children's workshops for illustration and storytelling, a park library with lounge seating, and a book exchange program designed to encourage reading across all age groups.
