Cultural and religious festivals held in Noto and Reggio Emilia

Various cultural and religious celebrations are taking place across Italy. In Noto, the city is observing the Ottava di San Corrado, marking the final stage of summer festivities for the patron saint. The schedule includes solemn Eucharistic celebrations at the Basilica Cattedrale and the Sanctuary of San Corrado, culminating in a major procession. The Ark of San Corrado will travel through the historic center, passing through several streets and churches, including the Church of Sant’Andrea and the Church of the Santissimo Ecce Homo at the Pantheon.

In Reggio Emilia, the 47th edition of the Sagra della Ghiara has officially commenced. The event, which features a market exhibition and traditional floral altars, was inaugurated by local officials and Archbishop Giacomo Morandi. The festival, which has roots dating back to 1596, serves as a significant community event combining devotion to the Madonna della Ghiara with local social traditions.
