Cultural art initiatives launched in Medellín and Bogotá

The Museo de Arte Moderno de Medellín (MAMM) is launching an immersive and interactive experience dedicated to the work of artist Débora Arango. Running from September 25 to October 25 as part of the Medellín Cultural Season 2026, the exhibition utilizes augmented reality, large-format projections, and audiovisual resources to explore Arango's visual universe through five distinct stages.

MAMM has spent over 40 years researching and preserving Arango's legacy, managing her collection and many of her patrimonial rights. The museum aims to move beyond traditional exhibition formats to create a dialogue between the artist's provocative work and contemporary visitors.

In Bogotá, the brand OPPO has collaborated with muralist Juan Villamil, known as Juan Sin Miedo, to create a large-scale urban art piece in the Chapinero district. The mural depicts the journey and perseverance of football ambassador Luis Díaz, aiming to connect digital trends with public spaces and celebrate local talent.
