Cultural celebrations mark anniversaries in Sighișoara and Bistrița
Romania is hosting significant cultural events marking long-standing traditions. The “Școala de la Bistrița” International Painting Symposium, a project promoting the city of Bistrița through art for 25 years, is presenting its 2025 edition works. An exhibition organized by the Romanian Academy and the Union of Plastic Artists in Romania will be held at the Academy of Romanian Scientists – House of Scientists in Bucharest, featuring numerous artists from Romania and abroad.
In Sighișoara, the 22nd edition of the ProEtnica Intercultural Festival will take place from August 26 to 30, celebrating its 25th anniversary. The festival will feature 20 recognized national minorities in Romania through music, dance, and traditional crafts. The event includes a round table discussion on ethnic diversity as a factor for peace and social development, as well as a conference regarding Roma slavery and the necessity for reconciliation.
