Cultural events feature Harag György Company and Hungarian State Opera

The Harag György Company is participating in Romania’s National Theater Festival (UNITER) in Bucharest. Their production, ‘SOPRO – Suttogás a sötétben’, directed by László Bocsárdi, has seen high demand, with all tickets sold out for two consecutive performances at the Bulandra Theater. The production, based on a play by Tiago Rodrigues, has received several accolades, including awards at the Kisvárda Festival and nominations for UNITER awards in categories such as Best Production and Best Director.

In Hungary, the Hungarian State Opera is presenting the ballet ‘The Fountain of Bakhchisarai’. Choreographed by Daria Pavlenko based on Rostislav Zakharov’s work, the ballet is set to music by Boris Asafiev. The production, which tells a tragic love story inspired by Pushkin’s poetry, will be performed ten times by the Hungarian National Ballet between October 29 and November 15.
