Regional cultural festivals held in Croatia, Serbia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina
Various cultural festivals are taking place across the Balkan region. In Šibenik, Croatia, the SHIP festival is hosting 50 performers from 26 countries and over 100 speakers, connecting the local and international music scenes.
In Serbia, Novi Karlovci is hosting the “Zaigraj, zapevaj i za pojas zadeni” folklore festival on September 18 and 19. The event features children's and performing ensembles from Serbia and international guests, focusing on traditional music, dance, and customs.
The Zadar Organ Festival is also underway, featuring six concert evenings in Zadar and Pag from September 10 to 24. The program highlights the organ as a historical instrument through various musical contexts. Additionally, the “Glazba na kamenu” classical music festival has been held in Široki Brijeg, Drinovci, and Grude in Bosnia and Herzegovina, showcasing diverse musical periods and sacred architecture.
