Cultural events held in Montemor-o-Novo and Itabira

In Montemor-o-Novo, Portugal, the “Ser Canto” workshop took place at the Almeida Faria Municipal Library as part of the “Dia Visionário” initiative during Music Month. The workshop focused on vocal expression, breathing, and music as tools for communication and creativity, allowing participants to explore the voice as an instrument without requiring prior musical experience.

The day also featured the “Mais Alto!” concert at the Cineteatro Curvo Semedo garden. This commented concert explored the transformative power of music in relation to human rights, equality, social justice, and democracy.

In Itabira, Brazil, the 6th Flitabira International Literary Festival hosted a panel titled “Voz, Corpo e Palavra” (Voice, Body, and Word). The discussion featured Leda Maria Martins and Ricardo Aleixo, who reflected on the relationship between poetry, the human voice, and the body. The event was held at the Carlos Drummond de Andrade Cultural Foundation Theater.
