Cultural events in Italy address housing crisis and contemporary art

In Latina, the fifth edition of the National Pre-Festival of Civil Economy will take place on September 15, 2026. The event, titled ‘Who is being left behind? Living together in a changing world’, focuses on the housing crisis and its impact on social inequality. Promoted by the Province and Municipality of Latina alongside the Diocesan Caritas of Latina, the discussion will examine rising housing costs, urban loneliness, and the relationship between public policy and social cohesion.

In Florence, artist Stefano Alvino will hold a solo exhibition at The Social Hub Firenze Lavagnini from September 17 to October 4, 2026. This exhibition is part of a collaboration between the Florence Biennale and The Social Hub, aimed at bringing contemporary art into non-traditional spaces to engage a diverse public of residents, students, and professionals.
