Autumn festivals and wine events scheduled across Central Europe

Various cultural and gastronomic events are scheduled across Hungary, Slovakia, and Romania for the early autumn season.

In Budapest, the 35th Budapest Wine Festival will take place at Buda Castle, featuring over a thousand wines and sparkling wines, with a special focus on American continental wine regions. Other Budapest festivities include the 10th anniversary of the Downtown Beer Festival and the Budafok Sparkling Wine and Wine Festival.

Wine-centric events include the harvest celebrations in Eger’s Szépasszony-völgy on September 12 and the Csallóköz Wine Street in Dunajská Streda, which will showcase wineries from Hungary, Slovakia, and Spain.

In the realm of performing arts, the Hargita Székely Folk Dance Theater is launching a Carpathian Basin tour with its production ‘Szomszédolás’, visiting locations such as Tokaj, Szerencs, and Munkács. Additionally, Celldömölk will host a weekend of diverse programming, including film screenings, water games, and the opening of the new theater season at the Soltis Lajos Theater. Local cinema in Újszeged will also feature family-oriented and comedic film screenings.
