Cultural events scheduled for Ars Electronica Festival and NightWash

The Ars Electronica Festival 2026 in Linz will feature the XR installation ‘OYA’ by Tobias Staab from September 9 to 13. Created in cooperation with XR studio govar, the immersive work uses a mixed-reality environment to present a holographic dancer, telling the story of the transition of artist Black Pearl de Almeida Lima. The installation aligns with the festival theme, ‘Future Begins. Negotiating Humanity.’

In Germany, the comedy format ‘NightWash’ will host a large open-air special at Schlossplatz in Münster. Hosted by Simon Stäblein, the event will feature a lineup of established comedians and newcomers, including Osan Yaran, Markus Krebs, and Kristina Bogansky. The special is scheduled to broadcast on RTLZWEI on September 10 at 20:15.
