Cultural events scheduled in Portugal for November

Various cultural programs are set to take place across Portugal throughout November. The 3rd Meeting of the Portuguese Contemporary Art Network (RPAC) will be held on November 19 and 20 at the Escola Superior de Artes e Design de Caldas da Rainha (ESAD.CR) and the Centro de Artes das Caldas da Rainha.

The RPAC meeting, themed “Contemporary Art – A Common Good,” aims to discuss contemporary art as a collective, inclusive, and shared heritage. The event will feature panels on artistic creation, public space art, and collaborative networks, alongside a workshop by Alexandre Estrela and an exhibition by artist João Gabriel.

In Amarante, the Amarante Cine-Teatro has announced a diverse November schedule including cinema, theater, and music. Highlights include “SHAKESPEARE 2.0 – THE MUSICAL,” a production by the Academia de Instrução e Recreio Familiar Almadense, which offers a contemporary reimagining of the Romeo and Juliet story.
