Cultural festivals and heritage projects announced in Sisak and Rijeka

The 19th Prolog Regional Theatre Festival is scheduled to take place in Sisak from October 2 to November 10, 2026. Organized by the Sisak City Theatre under the patronage of the City of Sisak and the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia, the event will feature 10 guest performances and several premieres. Key venues include Kazalište 21 and the INA Refinery Sisak Home. The festival aims to support regional Croatian theatres and promote contemporary domestic drama.

In Rijeka, the “Brdo kulture” (Hill of Culture) project is being held throughout October. Organized by the Maritime and Historical Museum of the Croatian Littoral, the initiative seeks to revitalize the city's cultural and sporting scenes by connecting various institutions. This year, the project emphasizes a synergy between art and sports, involving local museums, libraries, and sports clubs such as HNK Rijeka to integrate heritage into daily civic life.
