Cultural festivals and jazz events held across Hungary

Various cultural festivals and exhibitions are taking place across Hungary. The Malomvölgy Festival, organized by the Budapest Jazz Club, is held in Lovas until August 15, featuring jazz and world music performances.

The Bőköz Festival is running from August 13 to August 22 in the villages of the Ormánság region, including Kémes, Szaporcán, Tésfen, and Drávacsehib. The event offers a mix of music, theater, literature, and folklore, with several programs being free for local residents.

In Budapest, the Hungarian Jazz Celebration is scheduled for August 23 at the Magyar Zene Háza. The program includes performances by the Debrecen Dixieland Jazz Band, Barabás Lőrinc Quartet, and Hodek Trio, as well as a tribute to John Coltrane. Additionally, the Museum Garden is hosting a photo exhibition titled ‘We Came from America...’ to commemorate US-Hungarian historical connections.
