Cultural festivals and theatre tours launch in Croatia

The 4th Zadar Monodrama Festival is set to begin with a performance by Daria Lorenci Flatz titled ‘Ja, glumica!’. Producer Vinko Radovčič noted that the festival has seen significant growth, receiving 87 applications this year. The event continues to honor the late Zlatko Košta and features an expanded program including international guest performances.

Among the local projects is ‘Kruh anđela’, a stage reading based on the memoirs of Patti Smith, involving former members of Drama Plus such as Vito Sikirić, Hana Baraba, and Tonka Bušić.

In Istria, Teatar Fort Forno and the Čakavski sabor Žminj are touring the poetic production ‘Lip je život samo ontar kad se prez straha žrtvuje’. Inspired by the dialectal poetry of Mate Balota, the play explores themes of identity and belonging. Following a performance in Krmed, the tour is scheduled to visit Fažana on August 25 and Labin on August 29.
