Cultural festivals announced for Corbu and Parța in Romania

Romania is hosting two distinct cultural festivals this summer. The second edition of the Luminaria Festival, featuring kites and hot air balloons, will take place in Corbu from August 21 to 23. The event will cover approximately 40,000 square meters and include over 200 large-scale kites, hot air balloon displays, paramotor acrobatics, and creative workshops for children. The festival program also features various musical performances and will conclude with laser light shows and fireworks.

Additionally, the third edition of the Sunscape Festival is scheduled to take place at the Neolithic Sanctuary in Parța, Timiș County. Under the motto ‘Together on the Sun's Path,’ the festival aims to connect heritage with contemporary art through dance, music, and technology. The program includes solar-themed dance workshops for youth starting August 24, leading up to the final ‘Solis Festum’ spectacle on September 12, 2026.
