Cultural festivals announced for Piraeus and Platres

The 3rd Piraeus Port Film Festival is scheduled to take place from September 11 to 13, 2026, at the Municipal Theatre of Piraeus. Under the theme ‘From the Baltic to the Mediterranean’, the event aims to bridge Polish and Greek cinema, exploring themes of memory, identity, and space.

The festival includes a competition for Greek short films, providing financial prizes to support emerging filmmakers. The program features screenings, art interventions, and collaborations designed to establish Piraeus as a cultural hub.

In Cyprus, the sixth edition of Agrofest will be held at the Platres Arena from August 14 to 16, 2026. Organized by Agro Cyprus in the Troodos mountain region, the three-day event features an outdoor cinema coinciding with the Perseid meteor shower, DJ sets including international artist DJ Val, and a musical event titled ‘Aspros Patos’ dedicated to Greek repertoire.
