Cultural festivals held in Mostar and Rovinj

The 8th Sevdah Fest, titled ‘Mimar sevdaha 2026’, was held near Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The festival featured various performers dedicated to the traditional sevdalinka genre, including Namir Mašić, Hazim Imamović, and special guest Orhan Čakmak. Džafer Alić, President of the Assembly of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, opened the event, emphasizing that sevdalinka is a foundation of Bosnian identity.

In Croatia, the Summer Festival Rovinj hosted the Budapest Chamber Duo at the Church of St. Francis. Violinist Gábor Németh and pianist Szőcs Henrik performed works by Beethoven, Liszt, Bartók, and Franck. The concert is part of the long-standing festival established in 1996, which brings international classical performers to the Istria region.
