Morocco hosts various cultural and arts festivals

Morocco is hosting several significant cultural events across the country. In Tétouan, the 27th edition of the International Lute Festival will take place from October 29 to 31, themed ‘The Mediterranean, Basin of the Three Cultures’. The festival features Lebanese musician Marcel Khalife, who will perform alongside Italian luthist Aurora Manfredi, and includes collaborations between Arab-Andalusian and Flamenco musicians.

In Ouarzazate, the 14th edition of the National Ahwash Arts Festival recently concluded. The three-day event celebrated Amazigh heritage with performances from approximately one thousand artists, focusing on preserving traditional rhythms, dance, and poetry for future generations.

Additionally, the 26th National Theater Festival in Tétouan has ended. The play ‘Dabab’ by the Hebart troupe of Fez received four major awards, including recognition for direction and scenography. The grand prize was awarded to the play ‘Grey Zone’ directed by Ayoub Abou El Nasr.
