Cultural film events held in Slatina and Rijeka

The 12th edition of the ‘Rendez-vous au cinéma’ film program, dedicated to French cinematography, has opened in Slatina. The event, organized by the French Institute, Kino mreža, and HAVC, began with a school screening for students of the Marko Marulić High School. The program features various French titles, including the romantic comedy ‘Electric Kiss’ by Pierre Salvadori, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival.

In Rijeka, Art-kino is hosting a presentation for the new book ‘Jesi li snimio ovo?’ (Did You Film This?) by film directors Rajko Grlić and Goran Marković. The book consists of an intimate correspondence between the two authors covering themes of film, friendship, politics, and war. The event will include a discussion with the authors and a screening of the Oscar-winning Czechoslovak film ‘The Shop on Main Street’ by Ján Kadár and Elmar Klos.
