Cultural heritage events scheduled across Calabria for September

Various cultural initiatives are scheduled across Calabria throughout September. In Locri Epizefiri, a month-long program focuses on archaeology and history. Key events include a presentation of Roberto Fuda’s book regarding the correspondence between the Kingdom of Naples and the Medici court on September 3, and free admission to state museums and archaeological parks on September 6.

Additionally, the Epic Arghìa Festival will take place at the Greco-Roman Theatre on September 12 and 13, featuring contemporary classical theater, including a production of the Iliad by Salvatore Arena.

In Lamezia Terme, the Progetto Gedeone is launching ‘L’Abbazia al Tramonto’ starting September 5. This cultural path invites visitors to explore the Abbey of Sant’Eufemia through storytelling and guided tours. The initiative, part of the E-State Insieme 2026 program, aims to promote local identity and community participation through the preservation and sharing of historical sites.
