Cultural heritage sites and open-air museums featured in Italy

Italy is hosting various cultural events and exhibitions, including free monument visits in Cesena for the European Heritage Days on September 26 and 27. The program in Cesena features the Biblioteca Malatestiana, the Rocca Malatestiana, and the Pinacoteca, where visitors can observe the restoration of the ‘Ritratto di giovane musico’. In Rocca di Papa, near Rome, the Museo Diffuso del Bosco offers an open-air art experience within the Castelli Romani Regional Park. The museum integrates contemporary art with nature, featuring Corten steel animal sculptures and large-scale installations such as Marco Martalar’s wooden sculpture, Flora. The path connects the woods of Monte Cavo and the ancient Via Sacra, blending landscape and art.
