Cultural initiatives launch in Poland including national youth art contests

The Krajowe Zrzeszenie LZS has launched the VIII National Art and Photography Competition, Puck 2026, to celebrate National Independence Day. The competition encourages children and youth to explore family history and local heritage through two categories. The art category, titled ‘Patriotism has many names’, allows for various techniques including drawing, painting, and embroidery, provided the work is original and does not use generative AI. The photography category, ‘Our Heroes – Places of Memory’, tasks participants with capturing local historical sites and graves in autumn settings.

In Krasnystaw, the Paleta Culture Creators Association continues its local art promotion. Following the ‘Inspirations by Light’ exhibition in Siennica Różana, the association is preparing a jubilee exhibition for its president, Bronisława Żuk. Scheduled for September 25 at the District Public Library in Krasnystaw, the exhibition ‘Jubilee of Imagination – 50 Years’ will showcase her paintings, graphics, and drawings spanning five decades of creative work.
