Local cultural and community programming in Poland

Municipalities across Poland have initiated various cultural, educational, and community-focused programs for the autumn season.

Initial activities included a wide range of festivals and workshops, such as the Silver Stars 2026 festival for seniors in Warsaw, blues concerts in Łomża, and historical celebrations in Lublin. Educational institutions and cultural centers also launched diverse offerings, including youth workshops in Szczecin, journalism and Lego clubs in Piaski, and various arts festivals in Bełchatów and Aleksandrów Łódzki.

Following these launches, community engagement expanded to include organized excursions and senior-specific programming. In Kędzierzyn-Koźle, the Senior Days 2026 program facilitated museum visits and intergenerational trips. Additionally, residents in Szepietowo participated in a multi-day excursion to the Polish seaside, which included visits to the Museum of Emigration in Gdynia and Słowiński National Park.

Recent programming has expanded to include specialized music festivals and continued senior support. The XXII ‘In the Land of Chopin’ Music Festival in Sanniki features pianists performing works by Chopin and Gershwin, while Szafarnia hosts a concert dedicated to the legacy of Mieczysław Fogg. Senior-focused initiatives remain active, with Warsaw’s ‘Active Senior 2026’ program providing free health and movement classes, and the ‘Senioralia Rzeszowskie’ concluding with a finale concert. Other regional activities include a senior integration meeting in Nida and the RegioRest Festival, which highlights Silesian culinary traditions.
