Cultural initiatives expand arts access in Argentina and Chile

Various cultural initiatives are being launched across Argentina and Chile to expand access to the performing arts.

In Argentina, the play ‘Orquídea Cambá’ will be performed in Concordia, featuring Jaime Breard and Aldy Balestra. The production integrates music and narrative to explore Chamamé culture and identity. Additionally, the Teatro del Bicentenario is introducing accessibility measures for its production ‘Moliendo a Molière,’ offering specialized sessions for individuals with autism and intellectual disabilities to ensure a predictable and inclusive theatrical experience.

In Chile, the Municipality of Copiapó has enrolled over 100 participants in its ‘Semillas de Cultura’ program, which offers free workshops in theater and scenic props. Meanwhile, the Chilean Foundation of Youth and Children's Orchestras (FOJI) will host a free concert at the GAM in Santiago, showcasing soloists and ensembles from its orchestra school.
