Cultural performances scheduled in Varėna and Klaipėda

Various cultural events are scheduled in Lithuania. In Varėna, the National Kaunas Drama Theatre and Mens Publica Theatre will present the monospectacle ‘Girls and Boys’ on October 23. Based on a play by British writer Dennis Kelly and directed by Diāna Kaijaka, the production explores themes of love, motherhood, ambition, and loss through a female monologue.

In Klaipėda, artist Urtė Jasenkos will present her performance ‘That Which Looks Back’ at the Herkų Kantas cultural space. The performance features a small house where visitors can sit and have an intuitive portrait drawn by the artist in three minutes. The project utilizes recycled materials and aims to interpret the subject's inner world rather than just their physical appearance.
