Lithuanian theater and cultural performances

Cultural activities in Lithuania include various theatrical and artistic performances scheduled for late 2026. In Varėna, the National Kaunas Drama Theatre and Mens Publica Theatre are set to present the monospectacle ‘Girls and Boys’, a production exploring themes of motherhood and ambition.

In Klaipėda, artist Urtė Jasenkos will present ‘That Which Looks Back’, an intuitive portrait performance using recycled materials. Additionally, the 18th ‘Jaunatis’ national theater festival is scheduled at the Klaipėda Fishermen's Hall from October 15 to November 7, featuring diverse productions including ‘Mąstanti barakų širdis’ and works by the Kaunas State Puppet Theatre.

The National Kaunas Drama Theatre will also host the 16th international theater festival, ‘Nerk į teatrą’, from November 10 to 20. This festival will emphasize audience diversity and neurodiversity through the introduction of ‘Relaxed Performance’ practices, which adjust lighting and sound to accommodate individuals with neurological sensitivities or disabilities.
