Cultural photography exhibitions open in Paraguay and Argentina

Two distinct photographic exhibitions are opening to highlight regional cultural heritage.

In Villarrica, Paraguay, an exhibition titled ‘José Asunción Flores, creator of the guarania’ will open on September 7 at the Coopeduc Ltda. Event Hall. The display features 26 restored images documenting the life of the composer, including his musical collaborations with poets such as Manuel Ortiz Guerrero. The event includes an audiovisual lecture by curator Antonio V. Pecci and will remain open until September 9.

In Malargüe, Argentina, photographer Rolando Poblete is presenting ‘Malargüe gaucho: where craft becomes heritage and heritage culture’ at the Julio Le Parc Cultural Space. Opening on September 7, the black-and-white collection serves as an ethnographic record of rural life, focusing on cattle ranching, local traditions, and the intangible heritage of the southern department to ensure its preservation for future generations.
