Cultural seasons launch in Perugia and Palermo
New cultural seasons are launching in various Italian cities. In Perugia, the San Francesco al Prato auditorium will host the debut of the 2026/2027 Sanfra season on September 19. The performance, titled “Tu che ti senti ai fianchi l’uragano,” features artists Roberto Mercadini and Emma Nolde in a collaborative show that blends poetry and song to explore human fragility and solitude.
In Palermo, the Teatro Fontarò will open its new season on October 3 with the production “Scrusciu” by Carlo D’Aubert. The play examines the historical and social landscape of Palermo through the lives of four marginalized individuals. The performance utilizes the Palermitan dialect as a tool for cultural memory and identity, balancing tragic elements with irony and surrealism.
