Cupra launches Raval Plus EV priced under €25,000 as performance VZ model impresses testers

Spanish automaker Cupra unveiled the Raval Plus, a new version of its fully electric urban car built on the MEB+ platform in Martorell. The model pairs a 99 kW (135 hp) motor with a next‑generation lithium‑ferrophosphate battery, delivering up to 328 km (WLTP) of range and supporting 11 kW AC or 88 kW DC fast charging (10 % to 80 % in about 23 minutes). Pricing starts at €29,530, but with the Plan Auto+ incentive the price drops to roughly €25,000. The Raval Plus will be available for order now and reach dealers in mid‑September. Buyers can choose among three equipment packs: Edge (wireless charging, key‑less entry, vehicle‑to‑load, phone‑as‑key), Drive (advanced driver‑assist features, 360° cameras, remote parking assistance) and Light & Sound (Sennheiser 475 W audio system, ambient lighting, Smartlight 2.0).

In a separate road‑test, the sportier Raval VZ variant was evaluated. Powered by a 52 kWh battery and a 226 hp motor, the VZ delivers 384 km WLTP range and accelerates faster than the standard Endurance version. Its price, before incentives, is €32,065, comparable to a gasoline‑engine Ibiza of similar size. The VZ keeps the front‑wheel‑drive layout, features a 12.9‑inch Android Automotive infotainment screen, a 10.5‑inch digital instrument cluster, physical steering‑wheel controls, and omits Google Maps in favor of HERE services. Both versions share the same Martorell production site and underline Cupra’s push toward affordable, high‑performance electric mobility.
